Hello my name is Trisha and I joined this internship in the Spring of 2007. My experience here has changed my life by allowing me to get a better idea of my strengths and weakness. Working in a team is essential and if you decide to continue your studies or work in this field (or any field); this structure will make the transition easier. The highlights for me from this internship was the opportunity to work on my own story, working as a host (really cool), and even being a substitute director. It strengthened me in some areas, and gave me courage in others.
Currently I am attending City College in the BFA film program, along with some formal BMCC on Air members. We had the advantage of entering the semester as a team and collectively we produced some great pieces. I hope to share my experiences with you as I grow as a film maker through this blog.

Thanks for the post, Trish ..it's great to see "on Air" & BMCC alumni doing so well. All of you are wonderful representatives of our school and our program. I always hope that students see value in this program and I love hearing it from the people who matter most at BMCC - the students. I look forward to hearing from all of the City College crew!
Thank you. You and the VAT program played a huge part in where we are. You truly have a gift with people and helping those who ask. I will continue to blog as new things occur.
Hi Prof. Ellis. I wanted to log in and echo what Trisha said about how instrumental BMCC "OnAir" has been for all of us up at CCNY. Just speaking for myself i can honestly say I'm not sure I would even be studying film if I hadn't had such a positive experience during my internship with "OnAir". I thank you for answering all of my questions and giving me a crash course in AVID! I hope this semester is as good as the past semesters have been. The Tribeca Film Festival sounds like a great piece. I will once again be around the BMCC campus this semester tutoring in the VAT lab.
Prof. Ellis, being here since the beginning it is great to see how BMCC On Air has grown. Thanks for your patience and knowledge in help me be confident in myself. It had given me a new insight to even venture the news/video arena. Thanks
